How to rank high on Bing

You can see how you can optimize for bing by comparing and analyzing your results in the BING search engine.

We at Seo Bing.info have carried out a study where a search term is used in BING as well as GOOGLE and then the results are analyzed.

A. Search a term in Google search engine.

B. Search the same term in Bing Decision engine.

C. Analyse both the results.

D. Study the results and find the answers.

E. (OPTIONAL) Check for yourself what the results say :

1) The search term used : SEO Bing

Results : Google – Favors blogspot and keyword in search term. First is seobing.net and 5th is SeoBing.info

WhereAs…
Bing favors ezinearticles.com (2 results in top 10), forums and does not have keyword in domain in top 50 results (Which means no seobing.com no seobing.net nor seobing.info).

Funny :) : Bing.com itself does not come in top 50 results on it’s search engine with that search term but comes in top 10 on google(12th now).

2) Seach term : rank booster

Results : Google shows http://www.rankbooster.info as the third results (A .info domain)
WhereAs…
Bing shows only one .info domain in the top 50 SERPS and that too doesnt have the keyword in the domain. The .info domain is Google-ranking.info. All top 50 domains are either .com/.net/.org

3) Search term : forex how to

Results : Google shows forexhowto.net and forexhowto.com in top rankings whereas these two sites are nowehere on Bing.
Strangely Bing shows forex.dj as the 12th ranked site ?!

  • For Google : Interesting thing to note is that search term “seo bing” made on google shows .net and .info rank higher than .com with keywords in domain. This means .com is not always the king :)

  • For Bing : Other Interesting point to note is Bing is ranking many tlds like not only the ..net and .org ones but also randoms like .cc and .name above some good .coms which Google does not.

  • Note : We also found that Bing does not have problem in ranking really-long-and-filled-up-domains.com with a dash in its rankings unlike Google.more information and seo analysis on Bing coming soon…

    Site de-indexed by Bing

    SeoBing.info seems to be the first site that has been de-indexed by Bing for reasons that are still not known.

    Below is response from the Microsoft team to the problem of site being de-indexed on 29th June 2009 :

    1. “My name is Adam with Microsoft Global Escalations. I have been assigned to help you with your issue, and my records indicate that your webpage is not being indexed/ranked correctly through Bing.com. 

     

    I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding in working with us.

     

    I have investigated your site and at this time we are not blocking or filtering it; however, I would strongly suggest you use the robots.txt validator found at http://www.bing.com/webmaster to check your robots.txt file.

     

    Please keep in mind that Bing.com index/ranking is an automated dynamic algorithm. As this is the case we are unable to manually force your site ranking. There are many factors that make the site ranking. The following information should help.”

    2. “Beyond that I would recommend conversing with the Bing.com product engineers on the community forums located at http://www.bing.com/community/forums/default.aspx?GroupID=11. “
